Careful who you listen to...

...because there is no ONE right way to be successful.

Some will tell you that only relying on your sphere of influence is not a good business plan…

Well let’s visit that.  Are they coming from experience of actually doing it over a sustained period of time before handing out this advice? 

Did they email to their sphere of influence at least twice a week?

Are they friends with their sphere of influence on social and engage with them regularly?

Do they call their sphere of influence every month or at least every other month?

You and I know the answer, it’s NO! 

Others will tell you and maybe even you are thinking, “I don’t want to take leads and pay a referral fee and have a lower split”  You hear the talk around the industry all the time about lower splits on leads.

What does it cost you in your time to do the work personally to even generate a lead?  When you do a time/money evaluation you will find the cost is the same for leads or maybe even less but…

There’s one more thing with leads…what’s it cost you when that lead you converted, paid a referral fee and a lower split…sends you a referral…and another one…and then that referral sends you a referral.

Just a couple examples to think about and there are many more.  

What you need to do is focus on the ONE thing you are going to do, do it consistently, track and measure your activities, build your skills, and almost anything you do will succeed.
