What do these numbers mean?
It appears that the current housing market has seen a decline in new listings and properties under contract compared to the same period last year. The number of new listings has decreased by 7.7%, suggesting a potential decrease in the supply of available properties. Additionally, there has been a 20.6% decrease in properties under contract, indicating a decline in buyer activity. These changes in the market may indicate a trend towards reduced inventory and potentially slower market activity.

Exciting news from REcolorado, the MLS for Colorado! They have entered into a groundbreaking data-sharing partnership with four MLS powerhouses, including First MLS (Atlanta), the fourth-largest MLS in the country, the Miami Association of Realtors, MLS Listings in Northern California, and Heartland MLS serving the greater Kansas City area. This partnership is a game-changer for REcolorado agents as it unlocks listings in relocation markets. In fact, property information from FMLS will be available to REcolorado subscribers first, with data from the other partners soon to follow.
But let's ponder a larger question here: How long will it take for the real estate industry to achieve a nationwide MLS? Will it come to fruition through countless data sharing agreements or will it be accelerated by industry giants like CoStar or Zillow? The answer remains a mystery, and only time will reveal the path we will ultimately take.
